Expo ''Klimt. The Secession and Italy''

From October 27, 2021 to March 27, 2022, Palazzo Braschi will host the exhibition ''Klimt. The Secession and Italy'' which traces the stages of the Austrian artist's entire parabola, his public appearance, and, in addition to presenting his role as co-founder of the Viennese Secession, for the first time investigates the artist's relationship with Italy, telling us about his travels and exhibition successes.

A selection of paintings and sculptures by other artists are also on display, supporting the narrative of the Viennese Secession period and Klimt's influence in Italy. The exhibition's special guest is Portrait of a Lady (1916-17), stolen from the Ricci Oddi Gallery of Modern Art in Piacenza in 1997 and recovered in 2019.
