ZEROCALCARE, Digging ditches, feeding crocodiles

Until March 10, 2019, the MAXXI Extra Space hosts the exhibition 'ZEROCALCARE, Digging ditches, feeding crocodiles', the first solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most important cartoonists of recent years.

Forever connected to the underground scene, an example of a generation that grew up between odd jobs and the Web, between the G8 in Genoa and TV series, Michele Rech (1983) is one of the most prominent Italian names in recent years. Born in Arezzo, a native speaker of French, this cartoonist and comic book illustrator has been an adopted son of the Capital of Italy for years now, in the low-income neighborhood of Rebibbia, where all his stories and books were created, from his first self- publications (2001) to Macerie Prime Sei mesi dopo (2018).
